Ana deals with various long-term projects in the corporate law sector and provides legal consulting services related to the daily business needs of clients from various industries.
Ana has Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, passed judicial exam and is a member of Macedonian Bar Association since 2018. She has more than 5 years of experience in legal matters in North Macedonia. Prior to becoming a part of Papazoski and Mishev Law Firm, she worked as legal consultant at Big Four company and as attorney-at-law in well-recognized law firm in the legal market in North Macedonia.
Ana is specialized in financial services regulations, particularly in AML regulations and foreign exchange regulations.
Ana has worked on numerous projects for AML implementation for high-profile corporate clients that are subject to AML regulation. She has also supported numerous clients with navigating the Foreign Exchange regulatory regime, including advising on how to perform complex cross-border payment transactions, advising clients on opening bank accounts abroad, advising international clients on implementing group level share option plans in their Macedonian subsidiaries.
She is also representing clients before the local banks and the National Bank with respect to UBO identification and cross-border payment approval procedures, foreign loan and investment registrations, etc.
Ana also has extensive experience with advising clients on corporate law matters, including registering corporate changes in the Companies Registry, share capital increase and decrease procedures, corporate restructuring projects, such as spin-offs, convening of shareholders assemblies, etc.
Upon the introduction of the GDPR and its transposition into the Macedonian legal framework, Ana has gained significant experience in GDPR implementation projects for large reputable clients in North Macedonia. The work she covers in this area is preparation of data flow inventory, Gap analysis and Remediation Action Plan for compliance of the privacy framework of the client with the GDPR standards and the new Law on Personal Data Protection.
