Ivan Mishev
Ivan has Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, passed judicial exam and is a member of Macedonian Bar Association since 2013. He has more than 15 years of experience in legal matters in North Macedonia. Prior to becoming a part of Papazoski and Mishev Law Firm, he worked as legal counsel at the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
Ivan is specialized in financial services regulations, including banking, capital markets and securities, investment funds, micro-crediting platforms, payment services, foreign exchange regulations, as well as AML and consumer protection regulations in the finance sector.
Ivan has worked on numerous projects for improvement of financial services regulations (transposition of MiFID, PSD2 and AIFMD), as well as implementation of financial services regulations for banks and high-profile corporate clients in the finance sector (VC funds, micro-crediting platforms, fintech, etc.).
Ivan also has extensive record in M&A and corporate law, including due diligence and transaction support in M&A projects, corporate restructuring, financial investment and strategic investment deals, good corporate governance projects.
Upon the introduction of the GDPR and its transposition into the Macedonian legal framework, Ivan has gained significant experience in GDPR implementation projects for corporate clients in the finance, e-commerce, healthcare, pharmacy, industry and retail sector. Ivan heads the team responsible for GDPR implementation and outsource DPO services.
Ivan currently serves as an independent non-executive member of the Board of Directors of the Macedonian Stock Exchange.
